This guide is meant to help you invite customers manually, versus an automatic invite using one of the RaveCapture integrations.
Overview
When you first sign up for RaveCapture we give you the ability to invite past customers to write reviews. This is a great way to collect reviews from customers who have already used your business services and/or purchased products from your store.
However, we also allow you to collect reviews manually (outside of the automatic integration methods). There are 3 ways to ask for reviews manually:
Direct Request
Bulk Invite Customers
Outdoor (Direct) Link
The difference between a direct request and a bulk invite is that a Direct Request is meant for individual customers. In contrast, the Bulk Invite allows you to send review requests to multiple customers by uploading a CSV file.
Inviting customers for Company Reviews
Within the Company Reviews Email Campaign Editor Manual Invites tab, you will see items for Direct Request and Bulk Invite Customers.
To send a Company Review Direct Request go to:
Company Reviews > Email Campaign Editor > Manual Invites > Direct Request. You will need to enter the:
Customer Name
Customer Email
Once you enter that information and click "Send Review Request", that will place your email in a queue and send it out within 15 - 20 minutes.
To send a Company Review Bulk Invite go to:
Company Reviews > Email Campaign Editor > Manual Invites > Bulk Invite. You will need to create a CSV file (a sample is available on the page) with the following information:
Customer Name
Customer Email
The file can have a max row length of 1,000. Once you click "Upload CSV" the emails will be sent within approximately 30 minutes.
Inviting customers for Product Reviews
Inviting customers for Product Reviews is the same process, except with Product Reviews you need to select or add the Product SKU/ID (depending on your method).
To send a Product Review Direct Request, go to:
Product Reviews > Email Campaign Editor > Manual Invites > Direct Request. You will need to enter the:
Customer Name
Customer Email
Product (select the product from a dropdown)
To send a Product Review Bulk Invite go to:
Product Reviews > Email Campaign Editor > Manual Invites > Bulk Invite, you will need to make a CSV file (a sample is available on the page) with the following information:
Customer Name
Customer Email
Product SKU/ID (depends on your eCommerce platform, please don't hesitate to reach out to support if you have questions).
Note: The product MUST exist in RaveCapture before we send out the direct request or bulk invite. You can check and see your products that are added, by going to Product Reviews > Products.
